Vorbereitung: Der Grundstein für langanhaltende Qualität
Before the laundry goes into the drum, a few simple steps determine the lifespan of the fibers.
- Sort by color: Wash light and dark textiles strictly separately. This is especially important with brightly colored designs to prevent a gray cast or color bleeding onto lighter areas.
- The inside-out trick: Always turn duvet covers and pillowcases inside out. This prevents the printed outer surface from rubbing directly against the drum or other textiles – protecting the delicate details of the designs.
- Closure technique: Close zippers and button plackets completely. Open zippers act like tiny saws in the machine and can tear tiny holes in the fabric.
- Loading the machine: Do not overload the washing machine. Textiles need space to be rinsed. An overfilled drum increases mechanical stress and leads to increased pilling (small balls of fabric).
