📦 Our principle: “Second chance” for cardboard boxes
Instead of exclusively producing new shipping boxes, we consistently focus on reuse. This is our direct contribution to waste reduction.
- Reuse instead of new production: We reuse cardboard boxes that we ourselves receive from goods deliveries for shipping to you.
- Conserving resources: Every cardboard box we send on its journey a second time saves energy, water and wood fibers that would be needed to produce new packaging.
- Authentic appearance: Please don't be surprised if your package already has markings or logos. The outer packaging may have a history – what matters is the flawless contents. We check every used cardboard box for its sturdiness beforehand.
🛡️ Protection & Hygiene: Why we offer additional textile protection
Home textiles are sensitive to external influences. Basic protection is essential to ensure your new bedding arrives in perfect condition.
Cleanliness first
Dust and abrasion are generated in the automated sorting systems of logistics centers. An additional inner foil lining acts as a protective shield, ensuring that your goods arrive at your location in absolutely hygienic condition.
Barrier against moisture and odors
- Protection from moisture: The film acts as a barrier against moisture or damp outer packaging during transport. This prevents the fabric fibers from being damaged.
- Odor neutrality: Textiles quickly absorb ambient odors. The protective layer ensures that your bedding remains neutral and fresh, regardless of the external conditions inside the van.
🚚 Efficiency through Optimized Shipping Routes
We ship the majority of our orders in flexible shipping bags made of paper or durable material. This offers tangible ecological and logistical advantages:
- Avoiding empty space: Shipping bags adapt to their contents. We ship as little "air" as possible, which optimally utilizes the space in the delivery vehicle and reduces the number of trips required.
- Low shipping weight: The low weight of our packaging reduces the overall load on transport vehicles and thus indirectly reduces fuel-related CO2 emissions per package.
- Delivery convenience: Flatter packages and flexible bags are easier for parcel carriers to handle and can often be left more easily in parcel lockers or with neighbors.
♻️ Closing the loop together
Sustainability doesn't end at your front door. We encourage you to properly recycle the materials used:
- Paper & Cardboard: Please dispose of paper shipping bags and our reused cardboard boxes as waste paper.
- Protective films: The inner sleeves are made of recyclable plastics and belong in the recycling bin (e.g., yellow bag).
- Upcycling: Perhaps our cardboard box can still serve you as a storage box or for your next private shipment?
